Where there is listening, there is transformation
The dining space was already there.
But something was missing: truly inhabiting the place.
Coming for a while and leaving… was not enough.
What was missing was staying.
Beginning to live the place and connect with nature.
That’s when the sleeping spaces emerged.
And with that challenge came new perspectives — new people who began shaping Refugio during 2019.

On November 16, 2020, we inaugurated the elevated camp.
Raised among the trees — lighter, closer to nature, and closer to what the Delta already was.
Straight lines stopped making sense.
Curves began to appear.
The trees started to offer their shade — that coolness that only nature provides. Dry toilets and materials moved closer to the existing habitat.
Decisions stopped being imposed and began to adapt.
Little by little, something started to shift.
