Learning to listen
The Future Is the Origin
It is always valuable to pause for a moment and look back.
To understand who we were, the decisions we made, and what we learned along the way.
If we go back to 2016, that’s where this story begins.
A piece of land that came through adverse possession — a virgin lot in the Delta that, at the time, was seen as an opportunity for recreation.

There was a clear logic: build quickly, activate the space, generate return.
The perspective was that of someone coming from the city — shaped by its pace, immediate decisions, and the need for everything to work.
Straight lines, chosen materials, water and energy systems, the way the shoreline was intervened. Everything was resolved from that urgency. From that way of seeing the world

Today, the dining space inaugurated in August 2016 stands as a living memory of that moment. Its location, its orientation, bring us back to those first steps and leave us with a reflection:
There was no listening. There was action.
In retrospect, we can now see that origin clearly.
We can understand how we thought, how we felt, and from where we made decisions.
Without denying it or hiding it, we recognize it as part of our journey.

Learning
Learning to listen is part of the path. Becoming aware of every decision we make is part of it too.
Because in the end, we are the sum of those decisions —
the ones we choose in each moment, and the ones that, day by day, shape the life we live.
